An 18th Century Tsuba Buy Now Instituted 1829 by Dom PedroIn iron, the obverse bears a scene with birds and trees, 71. 9 mm (h) x 69. 9 mm (w), some light gilding on obverse and reverse, in very fine condition. Footnote: A tsuba is a hand guard placed between the hilt and the blade on a Japanese sword to protect the hand and help balance the weight of the weapon.
