Westphalia, Kingdom. An Order Of St. Phillip Of The Lion Of Limburg In Gold, Knight’s Cross, C.1840 Newly Listed Commander's Neck Cross - In(Orden Sankt Phillipps zum Lwen). Instituted in 1700 by the Counts of Limburg Stirum. A finely made and early award, in Gold, featuring a white enameled Maltese cross with ball finials, with fine quality green enameled laurel wreaths in each quadrant, obverse centre bearing the Lion of Limburg, circumscribed Beneficencia Et Virtute (With the Benefit of Virtue) in Gold lettering, the arms of the cross are inscribed with the letters HSCW for Henricus,
