Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse with the leftward facing bust of Ante Paveli, circumscribed by his name in Croatian, the reverse bearing a large superimposed U with a central flaming grenade, dated 1941 and inscribed Ready to Defend the Fatherland and For Bravery in capitalized Croatian, unmarked but traditionally manufactured by T. Krivak, Varazdin,
