Three of the photos illustrate a single soldier, two in a studio setting, the third taken outdoors, while the remaining fourth photo illustrates a group of six soldiers outdoors. Three are in black and white, one incorporating a caption, the other is in a brown tint giving its a sepia toned look and inscriptions above and below the photo, three with a matte finish, one with a speckled finish,
