With a nickel silver plated metal blade with acid engraved with Alles fr Deutschland (Everything for Germany) on the obverse, the reverse presents the maker mark and insignia for Carl Eickhorn with the company's characteristic squirrel logo, also marked by RZM M 7 66 1938 on ricasso, the blade fits tightly into the upper crossguard, itself constructed of nickel silver plating, which in turn sits flush with the wooden handle
