Constructed of lacquered dark brown wood, the obverse bearing two baseball players (one catcher and one wielding a bat), set against a background emulating the stitching of a baseball, circumscribed by an inscription of SOFTBALL CHAMPS STALAG VIII B GERMANY 1943, unmarked, measuring 17 cm in diameter, an interesting memento of leisure time by presumed American servicemen in German captivity in extremely fine condition.
