Constructed of bronze gilt; the obverse depicting the Lippian rose within an open ended laurel wreath the twelve oclock arm of the cross with a crowned cipher of Leopold, the six oclock arm dated 1914; the reverse inscribed Fr Auszeichnung im Kriege (German For Merit at War); measuring 40. 87 mm (w) x 40. 88 mm (h); weighing 19. 4 grams; in overall near extremely fine condition.
