Italy, Kingdom. An Order of the Crown of Italy in Gold, Knight, in Case Newly Listed Until 1808(Ordine della Corona d'Italia). Instituted in 1868. Multi piece construction, in 18K Gold with white enamelled arms and Savoy knots in each quadrant, the obverse medallion featuring a Lombardy crown on a blue enamelled field, the reverse medallion with a black enamelled eagle, measures 37. 25mm (w) x 41. 0mm (h inclusive of ball suspension), weighs 10. 71 grams (including ribbon), enamels intact, worn on original ribbon, in extremely fine condition.
