Germany, DRK. A Medal of the German Red Cross consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac utilizing the reverse of a(Medaille des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with red enameled arms joined together through the outer quadrants by a white enameled ring, overlaid by a central gilded and black enameled German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse pebbled and bearing a raised inscription of FR VERDIENSTE UMD DAS DEUTSCHE ROTE KREUZ (FOR SERVICE
