In cupro nickel, obverse illustrating the English rose, flanked by the Scottish thistle at the left and the Welsh daffodil at the right in the centre, inscribed "BATTLE FOR BRITAIN" above and "1939 1945" below, reverse illustrating the city of London in flames, smoke billowing and framing the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral, measuring 36. 7 mm in diameter, original ribbon with pinback, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue,
