Portrait of Thomas Gresham (1513-1579) Product:Framed picture established by the Haberdashers' CompanyHead and shoulders portrait of Gresham wearing a dark coat and cap with a ruff collar. Inscribed: 'MILTON SMITH & Co. LONDON. SIR THOMAS GRESHAM, Founder of the Royal Exchange and Gresham College. A Resident in Bishopsgate Ward. Born 1519. Died 1579. With the compliments of Henry Clarke, Chairman, Guildhall Library Committee. 28th November 1887.' Clarke's signature is in manuscript and there is a facsimile signature of Thomas Gresham.
