Raymond Harvey de Montmorency, VC, Commanding Montmorency's Scouts Finish:Float frame 'The Wreck'Raymond Harvey de Montmorency, VC, Commanding Montmorency's Scouts, c1900 (1902). Montmorency was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions during the Battle of Omdurman in 1898. He was killed in action two years later at Dordrecht, Cape Colony, during the Boer War.
