In bronze, measuring 34. 2 mm (w) x 47 mm (h), green oxidation and spotting evident on both sides, original ribbon, better than very fine. Footnote: The Distinguished Conduct Medal was instituted in 1950, to replace the Medal for Outstanding Acts that had been introduced in 1940. Both medals were awarded to officers, non commissioned officers and men of all the Armed Forces, Public Safety Corps and to anyone who
