with marvelous patterning composed of dots and dots inside of dots which also reminds me of Aboriginal Australian paintings

Pair of Old Signal Flags on Posts, Presumed WW 2 ab ex When I spotted this boxI are pretty sure these are WW era nautical signal flags, though I find identifying flags and their functions a bit confusing! I presume the white cross on red represents Denmark; the white stripes perhaps simply peace ceasefire, though I'm not completely certain. Whatever the case, I think old flags like these are quite satisfying things to have around, and these two together make for a beauty of a combo. It also seems we may need to be signaling new
