Here the wood treatment stops just short of fighting with the otherwise very fresh, ripe and restrained aromas of primarily red and dark currant aromas that are liberally laced with sauvage, wet stone and newly turned earth scents. There is also a touch of oak on the palate where the saline and intensely mineral driven middle weight plus flavors display outstanding length and very fine depth on the well balanced finale. This
