This late 19th century oversized wooden painter's palette is not in perfect shape
which looks very much like the image of snake to me
leather tongue and ears
which shows a tear along the left edge and a little dark staining toward the upper left corner
but I'm really glad someone kept the lid

Just a perfect, gloriously colorful, completely joyful thing. The right size for laying one tea bag, or a setting a diamond ring before one goes out to work in the garden.
