Some riper plum and spiced figs on the nose with dark coal smoke

this is a bright

(two-thirds of the vines were planted in 1912 and the remainder in 1973)

But it’s admirably persistent

The palate is well balanced with fresh acidity, with good weight on the stem ginger, quite saline finish. This is certainly one of the better dry white Bordeaux in this vintage.
